I just dont see the.point in building a car with a performance orientated appeal, building it with all the good gear, then putting wheels on that make.it perform worse? Surely a couple inches smaller would be much more adventageous.
Atleast the second one doesnt sit up like a 4x4, bit still hits me as pointless.
It just doesnt look right, looks like a rollerskate and something fat pizza would drive on george st laps.
I really thought.the massive diameter wheel thing would have died by now, its just getting ridiculous.

I am not sure what the Police in other states are like, but in Vic we keep the streets for cruising and Calder for performance, bolt on a set of 15's then go low 10's!

What use could anything over a 18or19 inch rim ever be on any car period? But on a torrie it looks foul imo.

I reckon that 18's are the biggest wheels that you can fit to a Torana without them looking stupid... But personally would probably opt for 17's over 18's... Muscle cars need to have a good amount of Rubber on them...
I really don't like hotwires... IMO the 20's u showed look better than hotwires! LOL
Also with Torry's, you need to be able to lower it! Nothing worse than seeing someone with some 18's or something on a Torana and it is sitting like a 4WD! You should be tucking rim under the guards if you are running 17" + Wheels.

to all you hotwire and 14" tyre haters !! Lol I love my 14 's and my hotwires. At least they fill my flares to the max. Torries that have 60" rims that sit a meter inside the flares look like a damn unicycle. Lol.... yeah I know ya can fill the guards with a big rim oh btw get rid of those LH LX tail lights cause they are soooooo 80's ..

Wouldn't it be a boring world if we all liked the same things though.
I reckon if you do mods to your car because you like the look of it then it shouldn't matter what the rest of us think (provided it doesn't make it dangerous to use on the street) as bad taste is not against the law - yet

I also think that there is too much "American MTV gangsta" crap sneaking into our culture. Hence the kids loving their 50 inch bling rims and their backward-hat wearing antics.
There is a reason why REAL race/performance cars don't run such ridiculous wheel and tyre combos. They just don't work!
