What is the correct looking bonnet release cable for a 75 LH? Mine is has a round knob but no writing on it... Should it of had Hood written on it? Are these still available?

im not an expert, i dont own toranas (get me a 2 door lj cheap) but form my general knoledge of holdens the "hood" wording died with HQ's and was replaced with the more universally accepted image of a car with its hood up?

Look at page 389 of the LH parts manual- it shows a picture of the car with its bonnet up.
I think the LH parts maunal is on this forum as a PDF file.

very shortly brad, the sample was approved a matter of days ago, the last batch of new cables we got within a month but we generally say 2 months time before we see stock just to be certain
to note for anybody else we are at the same time also about to redo every individual type of cable from the 70's as per original, thats making every different type for every model of kingswood and torana, they changed with every model, we are currently waiting on a sample of an lx cable as we cannot find one anywhere, if anyone has a genuine LX only cable please let me know

sorry i think i missed your earlier post too, unfortunatly the cable manufacturer is taking there time in supplying, we estimated theyd be due in by now but we are still awaiting stock, iv just asked purchasing for an update
unfortunatly we are at the will of alot of our manufacturers for things like this, we are lucky enough to find someone willing to do realistic australian quantites that we have to wait a while for them to fit them into there production schedules
maybe someone can help me though, i made the kit up in the computer today for all the packaging and clips etc but im getting conflicting information, the little spring steel retainer clips used to hold the outer sheeth to the body, how many are used? 1 right near the bonnet catch but is it 3 more along the length of the cable or a different clip?
