Whats everyone running??
Old paper cartrige type
http://www.summitrac...arts/SUM-G1507/
Or the nice shiny new steel screen type ones
http://www.summitrac...rts/SUM-230100/
From what i have seen the inline type ones seem to flow more than the canister type ones, but the canister type ones tend to have a slightly finer filter. Being a paper filter over a stainless screen i think it might take longer to clog up to??
I already have one of the canister type ones, just wondering if its worth upgrading to an inline type one....At the end of the day i have a 140gph fuel pump and a fuel filter that only flows 75...
Cheers.

Oh, and I use -8AN aluminum supply line and -6AN aluminum return line. (aside from the flexable braided bits of course)
And no...I don't like to think what I spent on my fuel system

3/8 feed and return will do me fine, if i set up some kind of a turboed engine or similar in the future i'll be putting a fairly big (like 4lt) surge tank up the front of the car, so all the feed and return im setting up now will be doing is feeding and returning the surge tank....
And for the current engine it will suffice quiet well i think....
So alloy fuel line is common in the states with no issues???
Not sure if its legal here or not but oh well....
Cheers.

As for being legal...can't say there....don't have to worry about that sort of stuff here.

Oh, and on the line size...when I was mapping out of the fuel system, I did it large enough to support forced induction I figure if I ever down the track went that route.
I also use the Aeromotive fuel pump controller...so the pump slows down at lower rpm. Keep the fuel cooler and saves the pump some as well. It is totally adjustable too.. I just have it set to go full flow at 2500 rpm at the moment.

Sounds like the goods.
Yeah i have the flaring tool type thing here to, although i think its 45 degree.....Might have to look into that.
Im only playing with a carbie fed 202 at the moment remember so yeah as i said 3/8 should be fine

Cheers.

Just used a -10AN o-ringed union fitting and screwed the filter right into the pump.

The outboard mechanic told me that they restricted the flow on outboard engines over 200HP, the big problem was the screw in fitting you attach your fuel line to had to small of inside diameter and therefore restricted flow at W.O.T.
He put me onto another brand which I can't think of the name of at the moment, similar style, clear bottom bowl with a water drain but the inlet/outlet took a much larger screw in or hose adapter fitting.
Just something to be aware of when choosing this style of filter as your flow is governed by the smallest diameter in your fuel system.
