Cheers m8.

I was a pain. The key thing is making sure the bonnet of the scoop matches the bonnet line. The inner brackets keep it flush and tight before fibre glassing it down.

I was slamming the bonnet with my fist to check that there was no seperation along the seam!

Beaudy mate!

Did some work on the rear quarter spoilers.
In these shots you can see how much fibre glass had to be added to get the gaps right. still need to clean them up.
Dropped the hatch door on my middle finger. The photo shows the difference between left an right.
F#@k it hurt!!!!

Another busy day on the Torry!

Finished blocking down the guide coat on the roof and hatch. I havent even blocked back the high build yet and the panels are shining bright.

It amazing when you start getting all the panel gaps right the car goes from being a heap of individual panels a complete car.

Got the gaps nice!

Either Velocity red (mazda RX8 colour) or I also have another idea brewing in my head. Stay tuned.

Hi all,

The 16*11 inch wide Simmons are proving to be hard to find 295 tires.
I was trying to track down a lower profile tire. 295 r16 40 instead of the 295 r16 50. 275's may also work.

That will give me the 10-20mm i need.

Tried antique tires and no joy.

Any one know where?????

If not the grinder must come out again!

Decided that I have to get these monster simmons and tyres to fit the rear.
16 inch tyres are hard to find in large sizes.
Here you can see what i cut off. Time to get the grinder and welder out again.
Then some more fibre glass work!

Also made $50 selling my old UC tail lights!

I can't remember if you've mentioned your diff. What sort is it? I can see the disc brakes in the photo above.

H Kudu,

Diff is out of a SS VN commodore. Shortened to fit UC.

Yeah Torrie man score!

Did some more work on the back flares. They now have 20mm eiter side. Here you can see before and after.

Took the car out of the shed for the first time in over 18 months!

Just need to do the realy fine touch ups and trial fit the engine.

Nearly ready for paint!

Tuff personified - top work. Tempting to keep them in primer when they look that good, isn't it?

Did some more work today.

Cut up and welded the other side rear wheel arches.

I also trimmed the inner lip of the flares so the dont rub on the tyres. I then fibre glassed the inside to strengthen them.

Because the flare position changed with the cutting new holes were drilled. So had to weld up the old holes.

Here you can see the difference between the original 14 inch rims i got with the car with these mad fat simmons.

Like I said they are fat!!!!

Bayswater flares and spoilers in perth. There moulds are direct of a a9x.

They did a great job. Nice and strong.

The leave 1-2 mm extra in thier moulds so you can adjust them to fit.

They were perfect 1st fit.........until i bought the fat wheels!

I had mine made by KP fabrication in Bayswater. I sourced plans of this site and had them make it to suit. They mainly make truck fuel tanks. They did a great job. I had to leave the car with them for a few days. Remember that the department of transport wont allow drop tanks that exceed the line between the bumper and rear wheel. i cant wait to fit it on.

do you have to license your torrie? if so are you using an engineer or just goin over the pits? im thinkin i might just do all the mods (properly) then just go to my local licencing guy and give it a go, long way off though, any new work done on your car yet?
