Looks great Berro!
Care to answer some questions regarding your method prior to paint? I see you coated all your blocking with epoxy. Did you put down a thinned down sealer coat? and are you sealing 2k High build or polyester filler?
What did you/ painter do to prep the epoxy for colour - just give it a wet sand?
Cheers

Hi UCANG,
The last images on the forum before paint were after the first guide coat blocking stage.(3rd time lucky) All guide coat is blocked/sanded off. Then all panels are sealed in 2k epoxy. Then a 2k high build was put down and then a wet sand is done once again removing all guide coat. All panels must be sanded to ensure paint adhesion.

Okay, I can see where I got confused.
So after that pic (2k epoxy) you put on high build, wet sanded it with a high grit ready for paint?
How long did the car sit between the final wet sand and your colour?
Cheers

Hi all,
Here is a update. The base coat was laid down today. It is such a different look to the final color. UCANG ideally you should follow the tech data sheets for color coat time. I would avoid leaving it too long between final wet sand and base coat color as airborne silicants can contaminate the surface. Thanks for the comments on the airbrush work. I finished this dragon last week. Candy coat should go on Torry tomorrow!

Hi All,
Car should be home next week we are doing a full polish/buff to get the panels like glass.
I need some info on refurbishing the window surrounds weather strip chrome/trim. I understand that the UC hatch has anodized trim? The set i have has no dents. I have gone over a section with 2000 grit and then buffed with a cutting compound but the are still a little faded/dull. I don't want to cut through the anodized layer.
Has anyone had them redone or could recommended someone in Perth that does it?
