Should be able to fire up the engine this weekend!

I am so glad you chose chrome bars over painted ones. It looks stunning as it is. Colour coded would have been too much. Beautiful car!

Yes pretty happy with it. Good old gumtree.
The guy just bought a Torry and was putting in a Chev.
As the thread states every thing is built on a budget but dare i say it the next rebuilt I want a blown Chev or LS motor.

Awesome Job Berro I also love the colour. At this stage of the build i'm not sure someone will be able to pick it was a UC in the past, the build is a credit to you.

Thanks LHSL308,
I have worked out that this car is a true mongrel in every sense of the word!
She is made up of over 10+ different Torana's that have given their life for her. Separate cars for dash/inner guards/front quarters/ nosecone/ radiator support/ tail lights/ bonnet/steering column and more! Recycled!

Hi Greg,
Measure twice and cut once...
I was just 2-3 mm out on my passenger side radiator support panel when i did the front graft. That meant that all the panel gaps were out. This then meant a heap more body filler. I ended up correcting this and going back to metal again! Once corrected the body gaps lined up nice and the car looked sick. No fill needed.
Also...
Started with Torry stud pattern and went to HQ /Chev, (more wheel options)
I would have done a full length tail light cut rather than stop at the filler.
Take your time.
Cheers.

Also measured the original UC Torana to VN Commodore handbrake cables to be joined.
As best as I can figure?
I know you can get ready made LX Torana to VN commodore disk brake Cables on E bay but they haven't done UC. It will cost about $150-200 to get them to do this!
Anyone else done this on a UC??

Hey Berro
Have read this thread from front to back, Awsome job mate, I'm in WA and I would love to have a perve at the ole girl some time hahaha...
I'm on the final stages of completing mine for a pit inspection, ya not wrong about paper work, some of the problems I have had are not major but more annoying.
Just a word of advice, keep your EFI stuff mate you may need it, including CATS.
At the beginning of my project I wanted to ditch the EFI for old school carby, speaking to my engineer about this he said It wont pass emmisions, 5 gas test
Anyone one is more than welcome to comment, DOT are not stupid, your engine number on the VN motor will tell the story and you will have to meet the emmision requirements for the age of the engine and not the car
Make sure you read through the VSB/ADRs on line for all your mods, Its worth it in the long run.
Just don't want you wasting money
PM me if you have any questions, more than happy to help mate
Cheers Mike....
