Been wondering if you were coming all the way over again Gene - great news!
What is the challenge with Skap this time around?

Those big bastard ones sort of like fist versions of those Kenny Everett 'Brotherly Love' character ones - would be funny as hell:

Thought you were looking very sick for Monday actually :-)
Very kind of you Bomber but make no mistake, I promise to disappoint in person - guarantee you'd be bored in minutes
Yeah, it would be great to put a face to the name, and have a beer and a chat - seems we have a fair bit in common but also come at things from different directions in places - always liked how you and I can have a verbal stoush, say our bit, not get nasty, agree to disagree at times and generally just play on. Like I said though, I suspect we are very similarly wired buggers in the main.
And so, I'll be there with or without the car but all going well, with it - look forward to meeting you if you get there.
Cheers, TB
Tazer is reserved only for that Wadey character Gez.
If he makes an appearance, the Tazer makes an appearance and Wadey gets a five second ride, and should that feel good (to me rather than him) I may wish to light him up for another burn or three...
Wadey can't say he wasn't warned
Glad you like the glass - yep a great job - it looks really, really good in person.
Price you ask - a very, very reasonable amount is my reply - you know better than to ask me to commit to paper/screen brother
No problem on not getting to me - I must say, you don't look too well - seems you might be unable to go to work sometime soon, perhaps this coming Wednesday 29th April...
Cheers
Thanks - appreciate your comment, and yes, motivation can be wanting at times - glad to hear you are keeping your 'mo-jo' on your son's car and pleased to play a part.
Cheers, TB
Thanks Brad but not a pinch on your car - the camera lies.
Cheers, TB

He would be no match for this West Auusie mate
Gene, how about the Costanza's Festivus 'feats of strength' as an alternative?

Just checked back in to my build thread after a day on the tools with the car - thanks for your encouragement.
Big day today - Redslur (Gerry) gave up his long-weekend Saturday to come over - kudos a mile wide.
Got quite a bit done;
Centre console is done and dusted:
Tail-shaft installed:
Bonnet adjusted and can now be closed:
Also got the radiator and Mondeo electric fans in.
And in the engine bay - got the wiring, windscreen washer bottle/pump and hoses done.
Of course there is a ways to go yet, but it seems (thanks to Gerry) I am back on track for the car to make it to TF in September.
Fingers crossed I can source a correct length clutch cable and get the exhaust done this week coming.
Cheers, TB

Thanks Sam - see what I can do locally - seems to be coming together.
Bittersweet day today.
Most mornings I enter my garage and wonder/pray the Torana Fairy has visited overnight to get this car done - time, money, skill, know-how, energy and more money seemingly the most prominent stumbling blocks. In the interim I have been extremely well served, and very lucky at the repeated 'working bee's' undertaken by my fellow CTC members - I have been humbled by their willingness to help and more importantly their friendship.
Last week I received a phone call asking what I had achieved recently with the car, and the response to my answer was pretty clear - I can not be trusted to get it ready for TF and need to hand it over to those who do. And so I walk into my garage tonight and am left a tad deflated despite the car being 'in good hands' - the void in the shed still leaves just that:
The cause being this:
That is LX6LTR taking it away from me - to finish it.
I sound like a wuss, I get that, but I am (yet again) both awestruck and overwhelmed by the help afforded to me by LX6LTR, Redslur, and my427ss together with a number of other forum members, CTC members and even a number of local businesses - in spite of the ego's, the self-serving elitists, and the glass-half-full-gronks, this is community - Torana community - go you good thing
I don't know if the car will make it to TF.
Having burned a fair bit of coin on the bride's car of late chasing air-suspension issues it is likely more down to finances than anything else, especially given the car is now in the hands of well credentialed folks who know what they are doing (unlike me) and so that shortcoming has been redacted entirely from the equation.
Time will tell but failure to arrive will be my doing and my doing entirely..
I have to say though, upon bringing it outside for the first time this morning with wheels/tyres on it, I couldn't help but take a photo and I it reminds me of the promise in this car, whenever that occurs:
Well that is my update done.
I will tell more when there is more to show, and by LX6LTR's standards, that will come thick and fast no doubt.
All the best, TB

You have a plenty fancy vocabulary, just saying something simple occasionally is not a bad thing

Its only a small repair to front spoiler, will not take much to fix, will never know it happened!

I hope so Brett - I am guessing you have had a look at it?
CB said he would speak with you about it - he was very annoyed but hey, these things happen.

Thanks Imoral.
Bit more of an update.
Brake lines, fuel lines have gone in this weekend thanks to myss427 - makes this job look so easy.
Engine bay lines:
Fuel and brake lines at rear - exhaust looks great as well - geez a flash camera shot shows up marks not seen normally:
The flash shows how much the bottom needs to be cleaned - another job on the list!
Until next time, cheers, TB
