LH/X Long Range Tanks

The 80L has a deeper lower section and the 100L has this and a band around the middle. V8Gent had one in Agent Orange that was pinched from the workshop when the car was dismantled after the prang those many years ago. (I was buying it at the time....)
We need one of each to look at, we don't want to buy them, just to have a good look/measure.
If anyone can help, post here.

Before the aluminium Brown Davis drop tank I had another Brown Davis long range tank that had the (approx) 5cm centre ribbon on a factory style tank that gave about 90 litres.

Never thought there was a long range option on Torana unless the HQ-HZ tank was fitted.

They weren't factory fitted but were available from many dealers and aftermarket.
AFAIK B/Davis don't make em now but may have to check again.HDT had a die years ago but dumped it....

I was talking with lxsstorana aka (Mick) here in Sydney regarding a petrol tank that I am going too get
made which is something like perhaps what you may sort of be looking or maybe not, I am getting the
fabricator that is doing my full chrome molly roll-cage & some seam welding etc on my SS Hatchback
take two tanks & add a little bit extra as I have wanted to do a factory style drop tank as I wanted some-
thing different & I may have the car at Torana Fest if that helps you out & if so I could take it along to a
shop here in Sydney & get a mould cast or whatever I could do that could help.
Regards Mark.
Me and Les. Something for Cav to play with. (Byron, did you get that other tank to them?)

AFIK the band was fitted aftermarket.

I've heard that before but never seen it done,
Can a HQ-HZ tank fit in a Torana? And if so, is there many mods to get it fitted?
Cheers

Can a HQ-HZ tank fit in a Torana?
After buggering around with the straps, I got one to fit. But i disposed of the car before getting the filler neck right.

I take it you had no spare wheel bump in the floor?
Was it removed so the boot floor was flat?

How far out was the filler neck ?
I'm only running 225's I've got a small tub there now that looks like a small drop tank that holds the LPG tank in it
Grant , any pics of that car?
