Hi all

I just signed up for the Temora 1000m sprint at the Airport. There is some seriously fast cars entered. Anyone else on here entered? They are strict with the rules and should weed out the idiot factor.

I hope my LS1 Torana holds its own (and together), but for me it's about having fun with it.

From another forum some of the cars entered.

i know 1 of the torana entries and 1 of the comm blokes

Was in Temora yesteray.

Had a go down the strip, ran 25.25 @ 201km/h
Braked to full stop in 170m. Heaps of room to spare

That was my 2nd run on Friday. Doesn't really look fast (201km/h) , and maybe not compared to some of the cars on here, but man it was fun!!!!

I'm looking forward to this. How funny was that to cross paths at Marulan on the way to Toranafest. Spoke about this heaps at the Toranafest, probably drove everyone nuts. There is a guy in our Torana club with a rover v8 setup in an LJ that would have been very competitive and would have joined in if I had let him know earlier. He already has his Cams licence etc.

I have 2, possibly 3 (waiting to hear today on the 3rd) spots free (due to dead cars or already entered people) if anyone would like a late entry. Ideally, you will need to pay the entry fee, return the entry form within the next 24hrs and ideally have a current CAMS L2S license. If you are interested in one of the spots, please email [email protected] asap and I will send you the appropriate forms

An email has been sent to all entrants and officials with the event info. For competitors, this will supplement the Sup Regs. If you have any questions, please reply email or ring me. I will have less and less time in the next few weeks to be online checking the forums for questions.

Well, this is me signing off until I see you on Saturday. All the entries are in to the timer, so no more car changes thank god. I will be sending an email tomorrow with my Telstra number if anyone needs me urgently. Remember the really important parts :

My youngest took his Dart 350 powered Mazda 626 to Temora for its first shake down run. On 6psi boost he clocked 232kph well short of the fastest time (Turbo VL at 295kph)
But he had a great time and will be back next year
