This seems like as good a place as any to put this ... I've changed the collumn manual for the m20 floor shift and am curious as to how I connect up the reverse light on the floor shifter ... do I have to buy a special switch or is it already there? At the moment I just move the collumn shift to where it turns the reverse lights on and then put it in reverse on the floor as well but would like to remove the need for this process

Any ideas?

Cheers

You mean that plug on the side that the selector arms go that I thought was connected to 3rd and 4th gear? So I just connect the old one up to that?

Cheers for your help already

Top of the box, passengers side right of the reverse lever, held in by a 5/8 " bolt.

Hmm, I don't think I have that item then ... does anyone possibly have a picture of this part? I think I understand where you mean for it to be ... I've been trying to find a pic with one but can't seem to. Or if anyone has a spare one around or knows where I could find one if it turns out I don't have one?

Thanks for the help so far

Here's a pic of the switch , its a bit difficult to see it when the box is in the car, it sits on top of the box and is held by the bolt for the detent ball and spring for reverse gear, i've got a housing somewhere, if i find it i'll take another pic.

Thats not too bad a pic gm3300 consider it is installed.

When you get the switch LC2250, just extend your wires from the floor through the gromit halfway along the tunnel in the drivers footwell. Thats all i did with mine and it works fine :)

I may as well get this post all closed up and done with

Where would I be able to get this reverse gear and relevant attachments to connect it to my m20? Can't wait to get this all finished.

From that photo I can see pretty much where it's supposed to go.

^ Could always hook up a momentary switch where the gear lever rests when it's in reverse (under the rubber boot) if you're short on ideas...
