well guys the monaro club of s.a will be in tassie in october from 4/10/11 to 14/10/11 cant wait to have look around and cruise the open roads in the old hk monaro.....so far there is 17 families going whats the weather like there in october.....

what type of sailing equipment do you use?

Just talking to a mate in tassie and he said to take snow chains with as not many 14" sets for hire

snow chains thats for L34-A9X drivers :stirpot: us monaro boys tuff it out we love slipping and sliding :3gears:

Try a radial instead of 6.95x14 crossplys it worked for me on the big block TA when i went from 5.20x12 crossplies to 155x12 radials.
Wont be original but at least you wont slip and slide so much and L34,s and A9X,s came with radials as standard.Good luck with the trip and maybe just use snow chains on front to stop that sliding on the steer.

didnt seem to bother the mighty hk in 68 when they won bathurst outer just ask the fraud drivers lol....

Be sure to check out the Automobile museum in Launceston.. some nice cars there!! :) The weather at the moment.. well, the days are starting to get warmer!! Around 15 degrees ;) We have been getting some crazy weather in recent weeks (last weekend was crazy).. but this weekend just gone was great :) So.. be prepared for 4 seasons in the one day - very common down here!!

yeah i have heard about the museum mate and four seasons in one day well i grew up in melbourne so it will be just like old times :buttrock:

You guys will love it as we did it in Oct/Nov 2009 with 9 Torana's from NSW & would do it again with a blink of an eye.
