GLOVEBOX BARREL & KEY

G'day'

I ordered and paid for a new Glovebox barrel and key set from the Wagga Rarespares web site on the 19th of april with no luck. First time around I was told it was on back order and would arrive the first week of June. Then once that date had past, I was told no later than the end of August, now I'm bing told the end of the year....

I was hoping someone here could give me a definitive answer when they'll become available and what was the hold up, as no where on the web site did it say it was unavailable...

sorry about the delay with the locks, we are having nothing but issues with supply from the manufacturer in the USA, we did originally have an expected supply date in June for 200 locks but we only ever recieved 30 of the 200 locks which we released to customers, we release all our stock in a manner that the oldest reservations got the locks first.

we are still awaiting the last 170 locks and these were expected in at the end of last month according to the manufacturer but they also warned us they were in the middle of moving factories accross and there was a chance of possible delays again.

Our purchasing manager has already sent them another follow up email in regards to this stock so hopefully on monday we get a reply with more information, from what we understand there is only the one manufacturer of these locks and we are stuck untill they can supply them.


again im sorry about the delay but we have done basically everything we can do for the last 6 months and longer to get them here

hopefully we can come back with a better date next week when the manufacturer replies

How good is that! Bummer that the locks aren't here yet, but fantastic customer service BigCav.

Maybe you could get our Yankie friend above to pay them a visit? Say he's there to pick up 170 locks? LOL.

its an APPROXIMATE middle of next month, so about 3 or so weeks away which is good news for once i think

according to the reply one of our purchasing officers received on friday the last of the 170 locks had finished production at the factory and was to be shipped out to there head office this week, they are holding our order untill they arrive because they know how desperate we are for them.

From head office they will be air shipped to us which we expect to take about 2 weeks by the time they clear customs etc

to stop this happening again we have already placed an order for another 300 locks
