Hi All
I have been trying to find a good in-tank fuel pump to use with my 308 injected bitsa
To date I have used a VL turbo pump but dont have room to fit it anywhere in the system for the final finish
I have a stock LX and a old school alloy drop tank both with standard sender/pickup fittings
Any suggestions and any pictures you could post would be greatly appreciated

Not sure if you mean aftermarket or factory pumps but aeromotive make these types now.
They cost tons but that is what will be going in my Alloy tank when I do it. Or maybe one of these which is the same pump in a different package.

If you mean factory ones, the Nissan 300zx has a pretty good one. I have one here somewhere I think but the float gauge bit of it is stuffed.

Does using this sort of pump do away with the need for swirl pots etc in the boot ?
I would like to run a 6 litre efi set up from a Commodore would that need this sort of product?
I have just started thinking about these sorts of things in the last few days.

Was looking around and found this one too - pretty good depending on how you want to mount it and good price.

Yes these do away with swirl pot in boot and you just have to have a good filter and hoses between the tank and engine - Aeromotive do nice ones of them too.
I am not an expert on the commo 6L's but since they are a 'vette engine, I would imagine they would use that Corvette C6 type of fuel system in my prev link but I am sure someone who plays around with LS's rather LT's will chime in and help out.

The only difference between A1000 stealth pumps and the Aeromotive external pump is that the stealth pumps can be mounted in the tank. The both will have the same issues with fuel surge. Listen to the video around 1:40.
They are not much use for EFI in a Torana drop tank unless you build a surge tank inside the Torana drop tank and run a lift pump.

Yeah but still in the tank and out of sight which is what I am after - sleek and smooth for all to see.

I have just had my shed (10m x 9m) approved (after a couple of years) and can actually now confront the reality of actually doing a project.
It was just the other day I was chatting to a mate and I realised I don't know much about EFI and their fuel systems hence I saw this thread.
LS2LXHatch is the specialised fuel tank the way to go to avoid swirl pots eating boot space, the part at 1:40 in the vid did peak my interest when I saw it due to my wonderings about this stuff.

The Torana drop tanks are shallow and extremely prone to fuel surge.
The only way to guarantee fuel surge is not a problem is to have a surge tank that is filled by a lift pump. The surge tank can be built into the drop tank or you could make a bolt in surge tank similar to the bolt in fuel pump.
This tank has a built in surge tank with a Bosch 044 EFI pump mounted in the surge tank and a VL style lift pump mounted in the cutout for the spare wheel recess in the top of the tank.
