The firewalls made TOUCHDOWN tonight! Pics tomorrow.I then notched out "V"s at the base of the Torana firewall and slid the whole assy in.
The firewalls are getting closer to each other and some more trimming is happening.
Tonight I drilled out a squillion spot welds of the sides of the Commy strut tower braces

Take it easy on the sacrelidge guys. Commodore front blurgh!

All done except for the fly-by-wire steering. I'd rather use a rope.
Have a look at where the firewalls meet in the footwell. I reckon they used the same pressing?
I had to notch out the guards along the top bolt flange to miss the strut tower and also the bonnet strenghening.
That'll be it for a while. It rolls and steers (held together with 5 tec screws) and I have condensed 2 shells into 1.
So back to reality................Getting rid of more junk incase I have to move.

Now you know why we all say "Cut it up" when referring to them.

Can't wait to see it finished and hear how well it drives.
Looks like someone was thinking ahead when these we're designed, they look like they we're made to fit together.
TerrA, he might have to Dirtbag the front and back though, and the dash then i reckon it'll be a sweet ride then.
