I originally had my uppers & lowers shortened to centre the wheel

SAM_0145.jpg

Hey Ben any chance you can remember the total amount both upper and lower arms were shortened by, as I'm just in the process of centering my 9" would be handy to get some figures to work with?

Cheers Tony.

Yes some people have done that..wish I'd thought of it back then.

Shorter control arms would work well too.

Well yes and no .i think you can only move
slightly as the spring wont line up with the
the top hole when bolting up.same with shock
as it will b on an inclination .i spose a 1/2 ,1'?? spacer could go on first then shock.will have to redrill a hole for top mount to spring.
Im sure you would have to do this.some one
will correct if im wrong...i was just
thinking if it was adjustable from spring end
you wouldnt have to adjust spring only shock
if clearances allowed.

Cant remember exact reason but was told adjustable lowers were no-no for rego..very few sold so most never bothered.

Shouldnrt be that hard if weld lower spring perch on after set the distance of the wheels..mine got coil-overs,narrowed diff & rear discs decade ago easy to forget what standard rear look like.

I dont think they would b illegal bud as
bushed adjustable parrallel 4 link is not illegal.
But that said there isnt no spring on lower
arm as all are running coilovers mounted to
housing,
If your mean like the lowers can b adjusted
from centre without having to remove to
adjust you could b right as no one makes them
like that for lowers.

Yeah the adjustable lowers...even my tubbed sle weirdly has fixed upper & lowers from 10+ years ago from macdonald bros kit. Cant remember exact reason why availability stopped do remember when they did come out it was only very short period then only fixed length available.
