Another great day , thanks Rob :) A couple of our guys needed tow trucks to get home , personally ran 22 times but was pinging after lunch and was not getting any faster so parked it for the rest of the afternoon , ran a string of 12.5's and many in .6 and .7 with a few strays so was pretty happy and drove home no issues so a good day after a shocking lead up

Pink car made it & true to form, ran consistant never missing a beat. Mind you i only had two passes in it, Belle did 21. Think i might hang onto the ETs for now, just in case. Thanks Rob350hatch for organising a great day, my family had a ball & we're looking forward to the next one.

Hi Matt, what did the Orchid LH end up running ??

opps i just seen your wifes post....14.2 well done. you know you want to have a tinker with it as 12's are not to far off :D

Yep, another awesome day. Always a blast and trouble free racing is always fun. I had a secondary driver this year and didnt see my car for half the day but still had a ball.
Managed a new PB of 13.4@107mph which I am stoked about. Just need a set of diff gears and 12s are in reach.

Massive thanks to Rob for organising it. Loved the cool weather mate, same time next year would be awesome :)

thanks rob for taking responsbility and ensuring a good day for all involved..good weather and conditions and most of all good people..

my L34 got off to a bad start with a water pump letting go after 3 passes in the hands of my cousin john driving..
i didn't get a chance to pedal til about 2.15 and ran a 11.5 @ 122 mph with the thermstat blocked and the gauge hitting 240 degrees...
i got towed back in and removed the thermstat went out again and went 11.3 @ 121 mph
the car was brutally violent and a physicall handful..
the last 2 runs of the day saw 11.2 @ 120 then 11.1 again @ 120 mph with the engine get hot ...and trying harder to nail some good numbers
full credit has to go Ned from hercules engines who worked overtime to get the car back out there after to dramas we had..
i put Ned in the car for the last few passes to tame the beast after Ned had watch me blazed the tyres in second gear or in his words bushfired..
he dropped the tyre pressure down to 10 pounds and blazed it...
i'm stoked with the car to run them numbers and especially that speed knowing there's still a bit more in it... stayed tuned

Thanks Rob for a great day and all the boys at WSID cheering me on. 21 passes for my first time, many said I did pretty. Best reaction time for me was 0.011 and fastest time was 14.272 @ 97.78 MPH. I will definatly be there next time.

Thanks Rob for a great day. Unfortunately my car was very lean all day so only managed a crappy 11.61 @ 127.27 on my 205/70/14 Maxxis street junk & a embarrassing 10.83 @ 126.78 running out of fuel on the 235/60/15 MT Radials.

Fantastic results everyone,

Thank you Rob, I really appreciate your effort in organising this day, and thanks have to go to members who raced and brought their frends but especially those who organised larger groups such as Rob, Joe, Chris and the others, \Honestly if it werent for your support, all the organisation isnt worth a pinch of poo!

I'm really glad i didnt hear about too many breakages or damage, I think the weather was nigh-on perfect for racing!

Congratuations to all those who raced and had a ball but Ive got to say, Belle: What took ya so long!! Told you you would love it! As Joe has said, practice makes perfect.. I'm SURE you and simmo will be duelling soon!

Cheers everyone!

Now wish I did it sooner, just getting over the nerves, Matt still had to give me a bit of a push yesterday but glad he did. The boys out at WSID were so good, cheering me on and the extra advice at the beginning of the day, as well as advice from Joe and others. Bringon the next day, I can't wait. I know the car will go a little faster, it bogs down at the end and Matt knows what the problem is. It was a great day had by all.

Great stuff Belle

It's fantastic not only the guys we have around us from the forum, but the WSID staff have always been fantastic and supportive! Especially of the lady drivers.

It's great and i'm glad you had fun!

yeah true tiny there is no judgement only encouragement .im trying to get donna there next year she just needs a shove like belinda so we might have to have a girls trophy i think.we had belinda and karlie and apologies if i missed any of the other girls but next time we might have simmo, donna ,belinda and karlie so bring it on its great to see,and ask matt they are more than capable of stitching us blokes up with their times.
and even the enthusiasm from non participating girls like when we had our group torana photo which was awesome i might add .the driver of pig 383 was not present so one of the spectating girls jumped right in at jasons request to pose as the driver of pig 383.good stuff.
tiny you might like to consider using that photo as a cover pic.we had all the torries in a semi circle and it was a good effort.
what i was stoked about was how many toranas present and racing and tonys for a visit

It's great!

You dont have to tell me about getting beaten by the missus!

I think we will definitely do that, I'd like to give you a hand next year,
I'd like to invite others straight off the bat and make it a BIG DAY! i think even 70 cars would still see 20+ runs.

And i'd love to run a girls DYO Bracket! that would be great :)

Yeah nearly lost face to the mrs, it took two runs wringing the car's neck to beat her best ET & even then with my experience & heavy right foot, i couldn't match her reaction times or mph.

Thanks for allowing Jadey and I to be apart of your day again. We managed over 5,000 photos on the day so I am in the process of sorting them all and will burn them to DVDs by the end of the week.
Please make sure that you get in touch with Rob to ensure he has your Name / Vehicle / Postal address so that you can get your images...

Here is a quick selection of images.

PLEASE NOTE: THE IMAGES YOU GET ON CD/DVD DO NOT HAVE ANY WATERMARKS
They are the full Hi-Res images straight from the camera. You are free to print / copy etc as you wish.

Maybe its the nursing experience for reaction time.
