Lighter hub = less rotating mass = less force to stop.

In theory yes but in the real world the difference would not be measurable.

On the track, it can be noticeable, but that would depend on the weight saving.

the theory with a race car is build it strong but as light as possible ,below the minimum limit, and this allows you to then put the weight back but where you want it

I am just getting some machined up to replace the POS ones that UPC (Mr Spares) made. I will get some photos and work out what they cost sometime next week. Mate got some steel ones for the street from http://msfracingcomp...steelfronthubs.

The bearing spacers are interesting.

Fixed link for front hubs.

Thanks for fixing that bad link. Msf are so much better to deal with than the other e-scamers. Going to test a set of the bearing spacers.

Those bearing spacers are interesting, Ive never heard of them before? are they a common thing on race cars? If you have a hoppers kit on HQ stubs which spacers would you use? ones to suit a HQ?

I have not used them yet so can't comment, but the idea is good. HQ-HZ stubs would require the HQ spacers. I am also looking at doing some alloy big bearing hubs.

Bearing spacers have been around for a long while

I would have imagined the HQ and the Torana ones to be the same anyway
Since they both run the same wheel bearings and bearing spacing... but there might be a subtle difference I'm not aware of in the stub axle machined diameter thats not an issue fitting the disc... .but might be on the stub

Not sure but must be some difference. We use the 1 tonner stubs so ordered the HQ ones.

Then we can try them on a Torana stub
