I also remember seeing the odd Valiant 5-skoke sport steel wheel from the Charger era on some Fords.

Real early Aussie Valiants had a very unusual stud pattern - 5x4.25". Later ones used Ford stud pattern, but with a slightly different offset.
Torry/early Holden pattern?

What I was getting at is the tyres are worth more than the rims.

They look like early Magna to me, but whatever, they are a Ford stud pattern. ( so ditch the stub axles and change them to Torana so all your wheels match and you only have to carry one spare).
this Trailer wont be getting towed by my LX as it wont be getting a tow bar fitted, its for behind my 4X4 HiLux, just had to get it to match the height of it so i did a spring over on the trailer and with the 15' rims it will be just under level ride height untill i put some light truck tyres on it then it should be good to go " i hope "

yeah i think they even sell second hand tyres for about $35 each at the tyre joints. one if the tyres still has a Bob Jane sticker on it.

Ealy Val and early Holden are not the same.
The Val is smaller,5 on 4"
I was sure they were Torry pattern, but since it has been over 20 years since I had an old Val in a tyre shop, I won't be argueing.

in the 1st link you posted it it says centre to centre on one and two wich gives a reading of 70mm
and a 110mm from centre to centre from one and three
According to your measurements , adjacent studs 70mm = pcd 119.1mm
Opposite studs 110mm = pcd 115.7mm
Basically either or both are incorrect.
Basic check of your measurements : dist (1-3) = 1.618 x dist(1-2)
keep measuring until you get numbers that satisfy the above and you will have the correct measurements, then apply:
PCD = 1.701 x dist (1-2)
and 115 from the outter on one to the centre on three.
This is a pointless measurement unless you measure the size of the stud hole and adjust. When you only have the wheel to measure, measure the dist from the inner/closest point on one hole to the outer/furthest on the other.

I had a trailer some years back with BMW rims on. Same as yours.
Now as it happens my next door neighbour has an '85 Beemer parked in his drive and guess what? Those rims are sitting there. That explains the Metric measurements - not Japanese, but European.
