I was starting to have second thoughts about the centreline convo pro's for my 4 door, now I have seen the pic again of the red hatch without flares my confidence has been restored. I do think they do look a little better on a flared LH or LX. Any thoughts anyone?

Convo's still look nice on an unflared car but if using the stock wheel tubs you wont be able to go larger then an 8inch rear, that's the beauty of flares you can go for a much bigger wheel with deeper dish.

This car looks like its been tubbed but you get the idea.

If you could get them imported cheap they aren't all that expensive (but add freight and tax and yes you're right)

Set of 4 as it says (they're cast and machined, not billet). Centre cap price is high though, add a couple of hundred US$ if you want Pontiac centre caps to go with, or NZ$85 x4 for Rares repro Holden caps. The ones above are a temporary set I made up but not particularly happy with them.

Showwheel Westcoast 16x7 all round. Had inside painted black to look similar to Sprintmasters.

kept changing my mind on which rims to get but came across these simmons fr18 at a good price! was hesitant on putting 18" wheels on the torrie but they actually don't look that big.....

......well compared to the 18" merc wheels!

With L34 flares, went for the bigger A9X ones so the tyre didn't stick out. That's the upholsterer not the panelbeater.

If we are sharing Globes....guess I will jump on the band wagon, ha ha..

I never had them on my Torana, but I imported a set back in 1998 (when I brought the Charger over) and ran them on my Challenger. :D

Posted Image

And also had them on my old Oz Charger too...

I did have the GTS style then went to Weld Pro Stars. I have now gone to Alumastars. I did look at Convo's but the AlumaStars are lighter & I think they are a better looking wheel. I will post some pics soon.
Cheers
