Macka, one of the nicest LC's I've seen. Good job!

Cheers Tim thanks for feedback.

VE 16" steelies with changed offset on the rear and chrome trim.

IMO black centres chrome/silver outers is a great look, apparently Holden options these in 17", as per all factory parts the price quoted for these new was astronomical, especially for a steel wheel.

Convo's still look nice on an unflared car but if using the stock wheel tubs you wont be able to go larger then an 8inch rear, that's the beauty of flares you can go for a much bigger wheel with deeper dish.

This car looks like its been tubbed but you get the idea.
Posted Image

Ahhhh i took this photo lol, twas on a 1% poker run

it is tubbed but not by much

ohhh btw I think you will find there is a member on here who has 8.5" convo pro's and 265's on the back of his flareless / mini tub less hatch.

Yeah nice, its a cool pic i saw it on here somewhere and added it to my collection. I think someone in this thread wanted to see what an unflared sedan with convo's looked like so i put it up.

I could never fit wider then an 15x8" rear rim with a 245/60/15 tyre under the guards of my unflared LH sedan with a stock length diff, they fit just nice but still scrubbed out if someone sat in the rear seat. Maybe the guy with the hatch had his diff shortened and was running a custom offset to fit such big rubber under a non tubbed hatch rear. :dontknow:

And to balance out the square torana bias...
15x8.5 with 235/60/15 drag radials. 15x6 with 195/50/15.

nice. have you got a shorten diff/ tubs to fit them under the rear or is it standard length diff?

Homer how big is that dish? Looks good, im in process of getting showwheels aswell for my LC but need to measure offsets etc at the front end.

lcxu105 did them 17's fit no problem at all? Im not sure how big wheels can go on the front before running into space trouble.

I'll put up a dummy pic of my car soon, i ripped diff out just to see what 18's would look like on the LC and dropped on its guts. lol

I soooo love a mini tubbed 4 door Torana! I used to own a Brock Blue one many moons ago with welds on it. Anyone got one they want to move on ;-)

I'm planning on going the opposite way and going old school 14" stock hq steelies with a nice tall 60 series tyre.

Always loved the look of the HK's and LC's flying around Bathurst with their respective factory black steelies.

Won't be running any caps or trim rings might bling them up with chrome nuts :)

Back ones are going to have to be widened a touch!

How far back do they go on Toranas?

I didn't think they were that common back in the 70's and 80's.

Cheers yeah should look pretty cool with 8" or 9" steelies with 235's on the back. Been mini tubbed so will have no clearance issues. I think the most common comment will probably be "when are the new wheels arriving" :)

Hey,do you have some more information on these 17's?
Brand? Available from? I like em and think they might make a better alternative to my 14" hotwires
Cheers.

Thanks Evilsim...Longbeach Customs dont seem to exist any more. Have read some older threads (also over at aussieV8 forum), all bad reviews.
Any other avenues I could try?
BTW the LJ looks awesome with the pumped up running gear. Well done.
