Thanks Norm, I thoroughly enjoyed metting you and your lovely wife and sons. Such a beautiful family and home you have :) Thank you for having both Allan and I at your house for the 'after party' Saturday night, Heather did a fantastic job with the food, and presentation. Everyone was welcoming, easy going and the night air was filled with interesting facts, light humor and general chat. The pianist played gently in the background, just delightful. Norm you know how to put together "The perfect" party ;) Lets do it again some day soon :)

As for the book launch, I just cant fault it! Norm and the crew from the club presented casually in a professional manner. Norm you looked to be selling and signing your new book constantly, yet you still found time to chat with us all. I enjoyed seeing the lovely cars that people bought with them, such beauties and some rather unique cars also ;) Norm, your presentation on the day was beautifully put together just like your your book 'Torana Tough'. Thank you for sharing with us. Also I would like to thank both Tony and Leo for their interesting words.

CONGRATULATIONS NORM,

Jessy x

Two top blokes, Norm and Leo

Hey Norm,

The book sounds like its a great book - a real tribute to the Torana.

Did you need Holden's permission to write about their cars??

Holden are very good. I have always supplied them with a manuscript prior to publication. They usually dont ask for anything to be changed, mostly the person reading it doesn't know if its right or wrong anyway.
I always make sure all my images are credited, this is the only thing Holden worry about, people ripping off the photo credit.

Great book Norm, I am getting a lot of pleasure reading it :spoton: More so since it was gift from a thoughtful friend and fellow club member :)

I especially like page 161, my LH is visable in a photo featuring Dirtbags ute at Toranafest last year, not to mention a mates award winning UC's engine bay and interior on page 257. It doesnt get much better than that :D

Looking forward to reading the rest and learning a thing or two.

Stay Cool,

Tony

Spotted this in Holden's Trade Magazine.

There'd be a few around here with some pretty cool old photos/stories that'd be a good chance to win that book!

The guys that do Go-torque are car enthusiasts and it shows. The pic with Leo Pruneau and my good self has Sagman's LJ Styling car in the background.

My signed, leatherbound editions of Torana Tough and Monaro Magic arrived today, havent had a chance to check them out yet.

Can't wait to sit down and immerse myself into these fantastic looking books.

Thanks very much Norm for the excellent and superfast service.

Norm,

Why did you choose that particular vehicle for the cover of your book?.

Am also in line for a copy as well.

Mighty effort well done.

Bit late replying I know.
I went looking for as early an XU1 as I could find, with a preference for Yellow. I I had used a Yellow GTS 327 on the cover of the Monaro Magic book and 2 I owned a Yellow Dolly Monaro back in 1971. However the important thing was the car had to be 100%. When I saw Sean's car at the Sydney All Holden Day in 2010 I knew it was the car.

Yes some leather versions still left, phone 0353346466 for a special price.
