Super T10s, not the old T10. But yeah aside from the ratio options I don't really see the advantage over a Muncie eitherRemember GM stopped using Muncies and went back to the T10

The best person to ask about the new M22's is member Jason365 as he has one in his hatch.

the new boxes do have an iron midplate and .100'' thicker case made from better quality alloy, full width front bearing, beefed up extension housing and a needle roller side cover.just be sure to delete the roller first gear when ordering as these are standard on all new boxes but wont take to much drag strip type launches, they free up a few hp but are more suited to road race were the take off arent so harsh.

i fitted one unfortunatly to my HK monaro and put my good muncie on the shelf,as i had a complete toploader conversion,
first run down the quarter good, lasted a full day 9 runs, next outing broke 2nd gear, rebuild box new gear, full bearings, then next drag day, tow for miles only to smash 2nd again.bought another box only to destroy it aswell, now my new engine 560hp, and a new muncie will last for years, the old one i,ve punished for many years and is fine.

THE M22W {WIDE RATIO} IS AWESOME,though they are a bit dearer than $1750 US as mentioned in a previous post then you have freight costs and custom clearance charges ect so they come in close to $3000 by the time its at youre door, i ran ol m20s for years in competition with very few problems behind a 450 hp 355, i only broke one when i stepped up to my 365ci combo that makes 500 hp and that box was the box that had done nearly all of my racing so i think fatigue played a part in that aswell,i had enough muncies laying around to keep running them for a long time but after my crash and rebuild i just wanted everything tough as nails so i dont have to worry when we go away racing i can just concentrate on my driving and being quick.

Yeh its abit noisy and the shifter isn't as smooth as a new car
But its been pulling low 12's on the quarter mile for the last 10 years and never misses a beat
I can attest to new houses, come with new responsabilities, as I moved into mine last week after a month of dramas
My advice,.. stick with the saginaw, there are worse boxes used by holden and when you've got 3 or 4 grand to through at gear box, then go for it.

Yeah I would like to change the shifter over first then maybe get the better box later. Everyone says these saginaws are useless but they cant be that bad, they use to put these into Monaro's behind 350 chevs.
They aren't useless, but they were pretty much at their limit with a 300-350hp 350 Chev in a HG GTS350 late type (with McKinnon engine). WIll last all day behind a 308 but a stroked 308 with work done to it will easily break one if you give it too much.
