Hi all. I am after any information on Holden V8 valves, are any good for 600” lift and 7000 rpm if so which ones.
I have lot of VN valves but I have been told there are not much chop ? I have VL valves that I think are better but maybe still knot up to the job. I also have the ones in the pitcher below which are the same size as the VN and are in a set of stuff red heads that had 550” lift and sat on 6500 rpm ok but I am not sure what they are as they have no marking at all on them. Maybe old red head valves or maybe aftermarket ?

Bite the bullet and get a new set of decent valves and drop the new valves and head in to have the seats cut and valves cut to match at a machine shop.

Good seal between valves and head and decent quality valves will pay for them selfs in performance and fuel economy.

Not to mention if a valve snaps the head off and destroys a piston/rod/bore and punches holes in the head.

Yep been there done that.

Percision motor sports do a decent cheap set, thats what my machine shop supplied, some good prices on ebay if you research the specs you need
