I'm gonna start stripping my interior out soon. Mite just plate up all the holes behind the back seat. I didn't have the filler outside for about a month after I put it in, got some funny looks at the servo, being an older car the attendants used to think it was factory and said how weird it was
I would be worth sealing the boot from the cabin, often the smell of fuel eventually makes it through rubber fuel lines.
It would probably even be worthwhile replacing the small section of rubber fuel line in the boot with aluminium fuel line. If that is the return/bypass line then you don't need to have a coil in the line. I have some spare -6 aluminium fuel line if you need a small piece.

Yeah i think thats how i would tackle it also, might need to weld up your parcel shelf too if you have speaker holes..which kinda sucks if you have speakers mounted there.
Cool AD, wasnt having a go, stuff like that erks me to.
Cheers.
Yeah no worries mate
The NCOP (WA) does allow a filler in the boot.

However you will find that some petrol station attendants will not allow you to fill a fuel cell in the boot. even though I think early beetles had the filler in the boot.
Interesting! i didnt know that..but i guess having a filler outside of the boot eliminates fuel spillage into the boot area which is a good thing.
