I have now done the mod and have a 3/8 line from pump to carby. Seems to have fixed my fuel starvation. Haven't been able to test the fuel pressue yet to see what is is now running. Worth while small mod though.

A larger delivery line would have no effect on fuel pressure at idle. The only time the larger delivery line would make a difference is if the carby was consuming fuel at a rate higher than the standard delivery line can deliver at the fuel pump pressure.

 

I was speaking to Tim from Burwood Carburettor Service Co., he says if you're running a set up for the street, there's no point putting in bigger lines, they won't drop the pressure, the fuel volume rate can only go as fast as the needle hole in the carb will allow.
