Are there kits available for these???

As my brakes are in very poor condition from the car have sat for a number of years... Id like to run a kit though everything. Ive dismantled the prop valve and its full of sludge...

The GM manual states its not able to be service and must be replaced... well in this day and age thats a bit hard to do...

Hi Brad

Getting a kit for the master cylinder shouldn't be too hard. Try Repco or your local brake repair shop.
From what I can gather you'll need to take the proportioning valve and all the O rings that came out of it to a brake shop to see if they can match up new ones for you.

I just bought a new master for $138 and had the p/valve recoed for $38 also recoed the booster total for the lott was $497, is it worth your time trying to get the M/C and P/valve recoed ?

Depends, if it is the original cast iron m/cyl and you want originality, then yes it is worth the effort.

Yeah it's all the original bits... Never been overhauled in its life i reckon....

Pretty cheap for the m/c and prop valve though.

But it sounds promising that I might be able to get some bits... One part I am worried about is the rubber seal that is fitted to the large bolt/fitting right at the end of the prop valve. It is full of cracks and deteriorated.

Hey Dattoman, your a clever fella, do you think that end seal is just a dust seal? Or is it a little more critical?
