Hi Axistr,
Awesome thread, and a pleasure to peruse. I am very much looking forward to the next chapter. You have given me lots to think about with your great ideas. I too want to leave the body of my torana in an "as original" as possible condition but with an upgraded power plant and have been wondering about the best engine mount/plate, extractor, gearbox crossmember/mount, combination for my 304/t5 conversion.
Hope the move goes well for you and look forward to the next post.

Looking superb Len.

I havn't been on here for a while so it was a great read looking at both your car and the shed. I wish I could move out to the country and get some more room.

Thanks Matt, I only finished moving things from the old house yesterday but the torrie is in the new shed. Still need to do a few things to set the shed up before getting back onto the Torrie.

Hi mate...Torana looks great....like the SSZ seats, would have never thought of that.......BTW...just putting my shed thru council at the moment.....who's shed kit did you use?....put it together yourself?....and did they sting you extra for the horizontal cladding on the end?

Thanks in advance.

G'day RallyRed, a mate of mine makes shed brackets and components for many of the shed suppliers, he used one of his customers in Tasmania to supply him the basic kit excluding the parts he makes, and as a favour he erected the shed for me. The clading on the front and rear was done due to covernents in my area. It is colourbond steel clading but in the building covernents it states that 20% of the shed must be other than colourbond. must be timber, brick or look a like, so this was the cheapest option.

OK thanks mate...up here in NSW the suppliers ask a premium for the horizontal cladding...so youve done well.

Due to the bloody rain I started to strip it out once again for painting. Progress is slow but will try and keep it moving.

For the first time I have also compleated two power steering rack kits for stock. now I have some breathing space to get more time on the car.

So much room! It'll be nude before you know it. I don't know how long those two power steering kits will be around either. :-)

Thought I would give painting the dash & crash pad, The SL was tan trim and wood grain, yuck so now I have black and LX SLR dash assembly. What a differance a black & Portland grey spray cans make. Come up excelent but took near all day.

Obey 1 The local Auto pro store mix the paint and put it into a pressure pack can for you, cost me $20.00. light sand and a wipe of GP thiners and your away, and lots of masking tape & time.

AD-75 yep love the original LX SLR trim. but the seat front and rear will be updated to help with the old worn out back.

G'day Ruts, the lower section only are replacement plastic inserts not stickers, which I replaced. Mick (SSTORANA) supplied them.

Yes I painted the top half including the vent surrounds. I forgot how much I hate masking up small fiddlie items, and now with the eye sight quickly fading as well.
