Hi Red, no its not sorry, I have seen that car in magazines, and I thought it was in Unique Cars for sale a few years back, I haven't seen it since, Outer may know more? Outer put me on to my car a few years ago. (That's when I last saw ELLE 34, in the magazine) I know this is not the correct forum to discuss this, but it would be good to track down the where abouts of the other two cars in Monterey, cheers Racer8.

Nice ride Racer, that is one beautiful L34.
It was one good car even before it was restored. The owner in the Apple isle told me he sold it because he thought it was about to blow up because the motor was rattly (L34 style). When it was pulled down to repaint it still had the original plastic flares.

Hi Racer,
Nice looking car. I saw an L34 in Monterey green in about the mid 90's up in the Dandenongs in outer Melbourne. The bloke had a complete car for sale and I rang him up asking if he had any spare parts and he said that he had a spare front end. He told me that he built one complete car from two L34's and had thrown the other rusty body away. On the phone he quoted $150 for the complete front end but when I got there he changed his mind and wanted $200. That pissed me off as I had driven over an hour to get there, but a look at the front end showed original L34 steering arms that I had been looking for as well as L34 calipers. (The crossmember was only a standard one unfortunately). I would have argued about the money but this young bloke had about six big looking mates drinking beer staring at me, so I paid the money and put the front end in the ute. As I started to drive off he asked me why I thought his brake hoses wouldn't reach the calipers on his L34. After a quick look I could see that he was using stock HQ calipers and standard length hoses, but I told him I didn't know what the problem was and drove off happy with what I had bought.
As best as I can remember the car that day was an L34 and was Monterey green but he had resprayed it himself and it was a terrible job. It was for sale for about $12,000 but I have not seen the car since. Doesn't sound like your car.
Cheers Grant.
