Still not much to report, the bonnet has had the air cleaner hole cleaned up and painted.

Rear flares flares have been extended to the bottom of the cill and repainted and some smaller paint issue fixed up.

Not many photos, I got side tracked with the 3 piece rear spoiler still not lining up.

It seems that the actual hatch door is longer than it should be and pushes the centre spoiler 7mm back making stick out

Two bad LX & UC hatch doors were combined to make one, this might be the issue.

The panel shop is going to have another go at straightening it up this week, hopefully there is some more adjustment to play with.

Otherwise the hatch might have to be modified again.

The hatch not lining up is not due to the rubber or corner Chanels is it? My hatch looks the same and completely out of adjustment. Take the rubber off and it sits under. It's bloody frustrating!!!
By the way, the paint on that bonnet looks amazing!

I have said it before and will say it again, I love this car. More pics please :)

Went down to the shop to see the car today and heard it running for the first time. I have video, I'll figure out how to upload it soon.  .

Here are a few things have been done to it in in the last couple of weeks. I forgot add the pic of the drop tank that was fitted  :banghead:

New Boots!!!!! Made the decision to go the 17s to keep it more street friendly and leave the 16s with drag radials for the track.

I always look forward to updates, and this hasn't disappointed!!!

Love the dish of those rear wheels, are they 17's on rear and 18's on the front?

Car looks great, really comming along. I hope you work out how to upload the engine running, I can't wait to see and hear it.

Bonnet is taking a while to sort out, it off to the paint shop last update.

Keep the photos coming, I love this car!!!!!!!

Hey Grant, 17s all round. I think it's the angle of the camera, I always get home and find out that I have taken pretty sh%$tty photos.

With the bonnet,  it was cut by the previous owner and he cut out a big portion of the cross bracing supports.

The owner of the shop that is building my car was not happy with the repairs/strengthening of the supports end result so he sent it back.

There was an issue with the rear spoiler that didn't line up that also has been fixed.

It also has come to my attention that there is a few spots on the paint caused by left over residue from the soda blasting.

It will be going back again until its fixed.

I forgot to add that the rear flares had been modified as well.

Well done SmartE on the whole car, it certainly looks fantastic!! The interior came up great, I had a similar idea with the seats and am pleased it works.

Could I ask what width the new rear rims are and tyre size please? Backspacing would be nice too if you have the numbers handy.

Cheers.

That front tyre does say 225/40/ZR18 which made me also think it was an 18.  Whatever it is, it looks awesome.

Really nicely designed and put together car.

Looking forward to the next update :)

I stand corrected,I thought I was getting 17s, I think I was distracted on how good they looked to look real close. It seems I have 18s now Ha Ha.  :spoton:

Carmelo I will get back to you on the tyre size and spacing as you can read I don't even now the diameter at the moment , the other simmons rims that came off it were 11inch.

Also the car is mini tubbed.

I'm glad someone else saw the writing on the side wall, thought I was going gaga

Sure looks like the place you are at does some great work looking at the Mustang in the background, and of course that LSX on the engine stand.

Good to know that he sent the bonnet back, taking pride and ownership of a project by someone else is not what you normally hear of.

How did they sort the rear hatch and spoiler alignment?

After buying that motor a couple of years ago, hearing it start up was music to my ears.

I was told that a different set of hinges were used. When closing the hatch now it moves it in a bit further in towards the roof.

Back from the painters to rectify issues with the black paint on the dash and the bonnet has been fitted.

Should be a couple of weeks now,  just a few things to tidy up and engineering and it's done.
