For anyone interested.
I have received my replacement seat backs thanks to Les. I have worked out a way to fit them without them breaking again. I have attached a few pictures showing what I have done.
1. Fit a massonary board to the back of the seat back to stop the pressure on the plastic seat back. (Doesn't affect the comfort of the seat at all).

2. Re-inforced the plastic tangs by drilling a hole at the base of the tang and riviting and glueing on a cut off section of hack-saw blade which is a perfect shape and fit and has a lot of flexibility as well.

By doing these mods, I should never have a problem again. I'll let you all know how it goes..
