G'day, picked these up off ebay, torana pattern, any idea what they are off? i was thinking 4cyl commodore? i havent checked if they will work with my wheels yet, but what sort of nut do they use? looks like they need a stepped/shoulder to hold them on?

If they are Torana stud pattern then they might be for UC.

they look like the ones used on 4 cyl commodore, vb/vc, same pattern as Torana but bigger stud diameter from memory with a taper on the nuts to hold cap in place

I think these are the type you need but they won't suit the earlier Holden studs.

I have some SLE Commodore wheels... off my old VB wagon (yes I know they didn't make a VB SLE Wagon... but she was a fully optioned SL)
They have from memory an 18mm hex

I'll snap a nut pic if I can find them
I kept the nuts cause they are now obsolete when I wrecked the car
They are commodore thread though so no good to you
But it might give you an idea of how they were held on

Your right ... part of the wheel
Though I didn't look too hard it it
Nuts just look normal too

Disregard all my previous ramblings :)

I thought that the nuts to suit the caps where a larger diameter ( maybe 21 mm vs standard 19 mm ) so the taper extended beyond the rim to hold the plastic cap.

Something like this

I have only ever used standard commodore chaser nuts with them when fitting them on commodores, I used the nut with the extra bulge on the shoulder last time and they were a bit tight, to the point where I thought the nut might crack them but they went on ok without cracking the cap.

The two nuts are different.

The one pictured here is the chaser nut, the one in the add is for conical fit mag wheels like the ones you get in the bob jane wheel deal.

^^^^ I agree, they are different, and certainly not what you were led to believe you were buying.
