Spent some time with Erebus racing and James Brock ( as a guest of DRILLPRO Services), gave him a folder full of pics of the old man , many he had not seen before , which was good.
James was racing one of the 2 mercedes SLS coupes in the GT championship, they had a 1 hour race right at the end of the day and James crossed the line in 4th and was third in class , well according to the crew chief just before we left.
Back tomorrow for a little while . Laz

I feel sorry for Tony Quin and his ferrari vs the wall twice. And then the damage from getting it onto the tranporter.
From Speedcafe site.
Tony Quinn’s has withdrawn his brand new Ferrari 458 GT3 from this weekend’s Australian GT Championship season opener at the Clipsal 500 after a crash in practice today.
Quinn, who is also the owner of the AGTC, lost control of his Ferrari exiting Turn 9 in first practice and spun into the wall – damaging both ends of the Italian car.
“I was just starting to get comfortable in the car but got it up on a kerb and away she went,” said Quinn.
“I’m pretty disappointed with myself really, it was a simple spin but you don’t get second chances on a street circuit like this.”
While the car only received minor damage in the incident, Quinn says that it was a botched trackside recovery that has ruled it out for the weekend.
“I nearly cried when I saw them pulling it around to align it with the tray” said Quinn.
“It has torn welds on the chassis in an area that was not damaged in the accident and this type of damage cannot be repaired at the circuit.
I stood there in shock watching it all happen in front of me at the Clipsal track.

Went today and had a good look at the great display of all sorts of cars and had a chat with the always bright and bubbly LC-138 , she is a gem !
Haha, maybe just a little passionate about my Torana's

Well I have to thank everyone who came to support HTC, the Armorall Show and Shine and of course Clipsal. I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to get the seven amazing cars I did to promote the club and I think we did well. We had a mix of Original and Modified, across LC, LJ, LH and LX. I did get a little bossy in the mornings, and the 4am wake ups with no time for coffee weren't helping! Thanks for putting up with me guys!
Here's a link to our Facebook page, and the folder of photos I have added. Will be putting more up over the next week.
I think I can speak on behalf of us all, we had a great time. We met Colin Bond who came over to see his old Race Car, I was lucky enough to win a spot in a V8 Ute and was taken around the track before being thrown the keys and told to take it back to the paddock for the driver, Charlie Kovacs. We met lots of great people and passionate Torana enthusiasts. Best of all, we gave out over 50 membership forms for the Holden Torana Club of SA! An experience I'll never forget

That's the exact report that was printed on speedcafe over the Bathurst weekend.
Hahaha, they either have a great chrystal ball or have left the report up on the site.
Either that or i'm suffering the weirdest dejavu on record.
Where are the lotto numbers .....
Outer , that is a great pic of the Sandman.
