the "1" always seems to be imprinted harder on most original number I have seen, and also often appears out of alignment, may just be the photo angle.
These are all what I believe original stampings:
It would make sense that the 1 and the J are easier to punch into the block than numbers and letters with more surface area like 8 and 9.

Brad, the letter i have doesn't have the engine number on it, did you tell them so they could add it in or do they have records of the numbers, would love to know what it was .
I didn't expect them to have it on record either but he quoted it to me b4 I even asked for it. Was pretty stoked with that.

I know these letters dont mean much.... but anyways... It shows the engine # at least.
Has anyone pointed out to you that the numbers on the block and the numbers on the letter from Holdens do not match?
