Any particular type? It would be used in conjunction with a gasket.
Judging by the website, I would assume the yellow one?

Brad, I've used genuine Holden Sealing Compound (3835215) for years- never let me down.
Available in 250ml tins from Holden.
Interesting, Ill give my local stealership a call on Monday to see if they stock it.
Otherwise I was thinking perhaps Permatex # 2?

I never use RTV in conjunction with a gasket, only in place of it.
For cork gaskets i just use a bit of contact adhesive, and for paper gaskets i use either Loctite #3 or #4 gasket adhesive, depending on the position.
Cheers.

A couple of comments: the very early RTVs (like the original Silastics) had very poor oil and fuel resistance and didn't last well on sump or manifold gaskets. Those days are long gone but still people avoid them for this reason even though the OEMs have been using them for a decade or more. There are specialty sealants made for anything you can think of (and some people will use 4 or 5 different ones on a single engine) but really you can assemble something like a Holden engine using nothing more than Loctite Black Maxx or Wurth 250 or any of the million equivalents. You can use it on anything; paper, rubber, cork (cork usually weeps a bit without sealant). It works with or without a gasket, but if you want something a bit stiffer for gasketless joints the grey stuff is the go. But really if you have a tube of black and some thread sealant you can do the entire engine.

None within 300km of me, where are you Hanra??
Cheers.
I'm up in the sticks. Townsville would be the nearest, 380odd clicks? The one in Cairns is closed down.
Would the Permatex # 3 do the job? I got a full bottle of that!!
