I'm using a CRS gearbox cross member with my T400

We gave the lip some love taps, looking back we didn't really need to. Have heard some bad stories about people trimming them off so decided just to tap them flat, with some effort it can be reversed when it cops a total respray down the track

yeah i'm using the original 4l60e. (but manualised with a 5k converter) it does fit,but its very tight. to pull the gear box out i have to drop the k-frame/engine out too.

The factory reverse/park/neutral switch on the 4L65e does not fit in the stock tunnel. I guess it depends on the engine harness and ECU as to whether or not you need the factory switch.

9 times out of ten, people would be using an aftermarket shifter anyway.

The shifter is irrelevant.

The RPN switch mounts on the shifter shaft and is wired to the transmission controller. The RPN switch lets the tranmission controller know which gear has been selected or RPN. If your wiring harness does not require the inputs then you can delete. My harness does require the RPN switch.

Doesn't really fit even without the switch.

So how do I get it to fit with the switch? Or is the box throw away?

You just need to modifiy the tunnel to make it fit or use a harness that does not require the switch and shorten the shift shaft. It is not a big deal either way.
