There were approx 395,000 HB, LC, LJ, TA, LH, LX and UC Toranas built. If only 1% survive today, then there would still be 3950 getting around.
Cheers

Do you think we can work this out with everybody here? And ones we see around,any ideas how to gather and collate info and put here
The oldholden mob reckon the torana was in production for 11 years, there were six series of models and they made 370,000 sales. They list the following production figures:
Torana 67-69 = 36,561
LC 69-72 = 74,627.
LJ 72-74 = 81,453.
TA = 9,288.
LH 74-76 = 71,408.
LX = 50,000 (8,527 were hatchbacks -makes them super special) and
UC = 53,007.
Grand Total = 376,344
The torrie nuts voting system on the forum has come up with 88 confirmed or suspected cars so far. Hang on, I've got one so make it 89 and I know of another bright yellow LJ project in a shed so that makes 90.
I'm guessing forum members have got them all? Hot damn toranas are cool .......

Ive got 9, none registered yet, some drivable, all repairable. plus several parts cars.
registered cars in area. lj xu1, lj xu1, lx coupe, lx coupe, lx coupe, lx coupe, lh sedan, lh sedan, lh sedan, lc coupe, lc sedan, lh slr
in the build lc coupe, lc gtr, lc gtr, lj gtr, (a9x, a9x, a9x, one owner)
gunna projects, lh slr, lh slr, lj gtr, lx slr, lx ss, lx ss, uc coupe, lh sed, lh sed, lh sed
probably never projects. lc sedan, lj sedan ,lc coupe, lj coupe.
drag cars would be another 10 at least not in the count.
another guy, l34, v8 lc, slr, slr slr, slr, ss, ss, xu1 shell, and others amoungst his 50+ car collection. his better toranas are shedded, several close to rego
for a population of around 50k, would that make it average torana ownership? at 50. then @ 50K Mildura/23M Australia=460x49=23,000 toranas. So If I know of more than half in local area, that would leave 35,000 toranas left that could be registered, about 10% production or less.
sound about right?
longer I sit hear, the more cars I remember around the place.
