Mine did the same thing. Been sitting around for 10 yrs got it out of the shed and it was fine for a while then the same thing started hearing a clunking noise and the bush had just turned to gravel

Has anyone changed this bushing themselves ?
I have just found the same scenario,had a clunking noise from the steering rack and when I pulled back the left hand boot, fragments of the bush in the oil ,along with some rather large chunks.
Wlll remove the rack and hopefully someone can steer me in the right direction.
(Pardon the pun ??)

Well found one for myself, got it from Bursons and cost me $17, fitted up and now to reassemble !!

^ don't forget to  get the preset load on the ball and socket to a non binding or too loose setting once the lock nut is done up to fit the tap in lock pin that hold the 2 together , it seems to loosen up a bit when the lock nut is nipped up?

Yep..thanks..I did that , yet to drive it yet as doing a few other things as well.
I also Changed the tie rod ends whilst I was at it.
