Hi Guys,

What we dont see alot of here is some 4 door GroupC A9X photos.

I'd love to see something other than the 2 door MHDT photo's we see all the time.. Not saying I'm over seeing the 05 but there are other awesome cars out there from the Group C days we just dont see!

Anyone got some to post?

I'll Kick it off with my fav.. The Citizen 11 car & the Channel 7 Morris car.

A little info with the photo's would be nice if known.

Cheers Dave

The interesting thing here is the Citizen car is the sister car to the car in the background of the second photo. The Citizen car is Brocks Patterson L34 upgraded to A9X specs. A shame it's long gone.
Both cars in the second picture still exist and race in Group C

My favourite race A9X sedan

Is the Brock L34 the car that was burnt to a crisp in a garage fire?

I read somewhere the Citizen Cooke car was stolen and not recovered.. Might have been here somewhere.

Fantastic photo of #21!!!

David, read what I wrote again.
As for a Brock car being burnt, the story goes that was the A9X hatch.

I agree, my father use to race against it with a hatch that Harry Firth built..
I'll try & get the photo of the two of the coming onto the Oran Park straight. It's a great photo!

That would be the hatch that was painted like a HDT car but blue rather than red correct? It's now sitting in Peter Champions museum but he thinks it's Harrys prototype.

It's the one in the museum yes.. I think he has painted it red MHDT now. There was bits & pieces on that car that were just simply 1 off's. We still have a couple of bits off the car that HF did that r vintage.

So the 4-Door HDT Car that Harry ran at the 1977 Bathurst, was it a A9X or a L34 done up to A9X Specs ???? as i have noticed there no pic of it on here.

Good question there.
Harry had 2 sedans still being used by HDT in late 77.
One was an L34 that was updated to A9X specs, the second was an LX shell made into an A9X.
The updated L34 did Sandown, and my understanding it did bathurst too, however Chiomi who owns the LX shell said in a different thread she has evidence it was the LX shell that did Bathurst, but for reasons unknown shes unwilling to say how she knows. I would suggest it's due to some of the funny goings on with races cars and court cases going on of late. I'm sure though if Choimi says it was actually her car that did Bathurst 77 not the L34 (Peter Champion now has) that she would be correct. Her car is the real deal no questions asked and has the timeline behind it making it very easy to trace.

Better late than never I guess.

I had to take a photo of a large picture on the wall so its not the greatest of quality.

The Brabham Car in the background driven/owned by Ian Kell back in the 90's

The Firth Hatch... This was an original Homologated converted LX SS 5ltr Torana to a Group C A9X by Harry Firth Before the A9X's where actually made by Holden.. A fantastic car I had the pleasure of driving.

Have more photo's of it in plain old white when first bought in the 80's but this is a 4 door Group C thread so it will be another time.

Surely there are more photo's of some Group C 4door A9X 4's out the people.

Good picture Dave. So you're saying Harry build the car prior to A9X release. Can you confirm for me who Harry built the car for originally? Just to confirm again, this car is not Harry's personal black car HF111 that he made into an A9X prototype as that car is owned by someone else.
