I'll check on the UC tomorrow what colour the temp sender wire is, that square plug looks right but I thought it was a green wire :dontknow:

Appreciate that .............

And it's...... GREEN! (and greasy)

The plug looks the same though, and the wire goes to one of these plugs, the grey one I think -

ok found the brown and red will go to coil , obviously just extended with black.....
and the the other 2 x blacks lugged together is the earth for ignition module......

I've been wondering if its ok to to mount my ignition module , coil and map sensor in under dash to keep bay clean...
a lot of people say - No good as heat issues , but you would think that there will be more heat in a engine bay then under dash.
any one had any trouble with this?
and because your extending vacuum line to map sensor will this cause problems?

Sorry Adam, missed your post yesterday....
That first pic with two plugs are ignition module and ALDL diagnostic plug, black wires from these are earth.

You figured out the coil wires, they are often extended to relocate the coil because the factory mounting position below the dizzy is an absolute c#@% to get to. I'm hiding my coil under the wiper panel. Also - use a stock MEC718 coil with the stock ign module, if you change to a high efficiency coil - HECXXX you'll burn out the module prematurely.

As for mounting under the dash, I say go for it, as long as the ign module is not covered by anything so it doesn't get too hot. Also the module needs to be earthed really well.

cheers UCgazman it won't be covered ..... also I've taken my manifold off for room and to remove fan cover , I've run all my loom directly behind motor and since I'm not going to use the heater as there a prick when they leak,,,, I've kept the wiring tight underneath and made a hole into dash via air box...all sealed up so no air leaks.. I'm going to run a few spare cables in there too for future use just incase....
