Thinkin its time for a few updates... Im sure theres been heaps of things Ive done to it but heres some of the major milestones. Hoping itll be on the road before Toranafest.

Got some nice shiney new bits in place. Nice solidly built new clutch mechanism courtesy of Dustings. Can totally recommend his stuff! Great price too.

Some new spindles and bushes.

image_zpsxo5g9q5o.jpg

New tyres all round!! Bigger ones on the front meant I had to cut out the guards a bit more and move the front flares forward by about an inch so nothing scrubs...

image_zpstm3h09zt.jpg

And I got a nice 3.08 fine spline diff built up as well as a chunky V8 size tail shaft with new unis.

Little helper, big screwdriver. Hes always keen!  Long as he doesnt get near the paint its all good!

And it lives!!

image_zps45oqrdtk.jpg

Two aussie classics side by side look pretty good!

Off to my mechanic for all the finer adjustments, then the headlining and screens back in!! Getting there...

Handy little helper there and just the right size to do the work in those hard to get at spots in the engine bay  :spoton:

AND that rat trap ain't gunna bend at all not like the old ones  :spoton:

I've got something similar and is like that one, built like a brick out-house

Youre right about that Pop. I know Rod spent a lot of money to get these made up and theyre definitely top notch and solid as a tank. (And fit perfectly!)

Finally got the t'raaana regoed so heres a coupla pics of its maiden outing. Meredith music festival. I usually take the Sandman but she's up on blocks with an in-progress engine swap so the Torry got the call out.

I like to see them in their natural environment... Ie. surrounded by mates, beer, and music!

I love them in their natural environment too!!
Way better than all parked up in a row at a car show.

Geez, I bet you stirred up some serious chatter with all them hippy types!

Last time I went to Meredith, John Butler Trio headlined with Jebediah supporting....15 years ago?
FWIW, Jebs slaughtered JBT :)

Ive been busy making a few changes so I thought I might post a few updates.

Popped the 253 and M21 out the bottom, and took the front end off to the local suspension place where it got new bushes and they put on the UC UCAs and UC steering arms for me, as well as the complete 287mm UPC big brake kit I got.

The UPC kit fit perfectly and only required a tiny notch to be taken out of the LCAs. Although the centres of the hubs were a bit bigger than the LX ones and I had to have my wheels drilled out a bit.

Got the strong 308 out of my sandman and married it up to a nice rodshop rebuilt supra 5 speed.

IMG_6072_zpsh499q2mn.jpg

IMG_5871_zps3wl8ictw.jpg

Had to modify the rat trap to fit onto the supra box.

And then Ive got this box of crap to play with... Should be interesting times ahead...

Yeah I sold a rebuilt T5 for good money so I got excited and got me a FAST EFI kit. Just so sick of the spluttering farting take 20 mins to idle carby that I had on there.

Looking forward to moving into the 20th century!

Love the camping photos, I miss those days with my Torana.

Nice work with the overall build on this, it's a great looking car. You are going to love the Supra 5 speed (and 308 of course too).

Will be keen to hear more about the EFI kit.

Yeah should hopefully go like stink when its all up and running!

Got the engine all in, just gotta sort out the gearbox crossmember and tailshaft.

Geez getting that K frame all back in is a bit of a bastard job!
