Just thought I would dig this thread back up to let everyone know the positive ending to this saga.

I sent a polite email to Holden explaining the situation. I got a call asking me to send the log books and receipt.

They decided they would honour the warranty and would pay for the parts. They worked it out and said they will send me a cheque for $2700 of the bill.

We are still $1300 out of pocket but its better than a kick in the teeth i say. Considering it only too a small amount of time to send.

I was impressed with Holdens customer service. They were quite prompt to get back to me and always contacted me when they said they would.
