Wot offered $2 so its worth at least that.
Unfortunately hard work does not always lead to a higher value, and it is true that a running, registered car is worth more than a shell + parts (usually).

I actually offered him $500, Potta.
Sorry, my bad......
I hope this won't effect our friendship.

In this day and age insisting on lead wiping your car is much like insisting your new house is built with asbestos sheeting.
What the OP fails to understand, and a few punters going by the comments, is that a lot of us arnt much older than him, and most of the young blokes commenting in here started with there cars at 14 or so.
Remember the thread Rimjob started a few months ago apologizing for how he was when he first joined up hehe, then the rest of us jumped in and went "yeah, um, yeah ok we were dickheads" Just how it is and part of growing up.
Simple fact. A car thats complete in ANY condition will pull more cash than one thats pulled apart and naked.
Spend $30 on 4lt of black etc, blow it over the body work as it sits, and put the car back together. You will triple the amount you will get for it.
Its not right, i agree, but its how it is.
Cheers.

But who cares he is 15 & up to his guts in nuts. Go hard mate have fun, learn heaps, spend time with your old man on the tricky bits. Not everyones advice can be taken because everyone has a different opinion. keep up the good work.
I agree with bomber, lead is dangerous & not as effective as a plastic body filler. None of us want to hear your in hospital with your organs shutting down because you accidentally got lead poisoning.
Stay safe
Pete.

I'll post one when I see one.
It wont be long...the guy who has it owns several really tidy HDs that he has rebuilt himself.
