Have been looking all over to see what a hatch looks like with the blacked out bonnet with NO scoop.
Cant find any....can anyone help if they have some?

Hmmm. I've been wondering if my air cleaner would fit under a bonnet minus the scoop also. Looks good

thanks guys, have never see them dont like this.
anyone have some pics in another colour other than "kelvinator white"?

what are your seats originally out of Tony (tsn007)? they look really good, probably more comfortable than the holden efforts!

I think they were Mitsubishi Cordia or something similar,

very comfortable bit removed recently for orignal bucket seats

When I bought my sedan it had the bonnet blacked out exactly the same. It's an SL/R build date 9/76

Do you know if this would've been done by factory or dealership?

thanks so far guys
SL/Rs were all body colour, pretty sure, ex factory Steve.

Tony, thanks for the heads up on the seats, guess its best to keep factory seats otherwise we need an engineers plate to alter them to anything else here in QLD
Also like the detailing around the windows you have, keeping the black inside the chrome strips looks good, as per factory, is that paint glossy or semi-gloss/matt?
What is correct?

I think you will find that it is Satin black as per A9X

Yeah I've heard this too, I've also heard dealerships would add spoilers and black outs to help them sell quicker.

My blackouts were exactly as above, I extended them later on to below the chrome strips as per A9X.

The ones that did didn't have the paint below the chrome trim - damn!

Still I like that paint scheme that runs lower on the fender & doors than the above pictured, chrome trim or not.

LH SL/R (chrome trim inside window/door frame (see Handras build) and stripes as per photo, also no GTS mirrors)

Posted Image

LX SL/R

Posted Image

LX SS (Chrome trim around windows and black inside trim)

Posted Image

SS A9X (no chrome around windows and black down to where the chrome trim would have stoped and the bonnet paint is the same as Tony's (tsn) hatch.)

Posted Image

Thats pretty much how they were from factory, but without the hotwires.

Paul.

LX SL/R

That's a 5000 if the stencilling is correct. ?

I have an LX SL/R (not 5000) and I'm pretty sure it had the 'outer window type' chrome trim from factory (as below), I can't see why anyone would add it later.

The 2 red A9X's auctioned by Shannons recently both had the chrome trim.

I posted one of them above here is the other.

I thought flares were only factory on L34's & the A9X. SLR's & SS, no flares.
