I asked the guy at Kingswood Country, he said he wants nothing to do with WBs. Very arrogant about it. I have dealt with him before and he is usually pretty good, just don't mention WBs.
I rang Vicroads and they said (and so did lmj411), that if a car is older than 15 years, they don't care about the VIV. So big relief there. My aim is to keep an on on ebay and at swap meets, and if I see a cheap part, buy it.
I think it'll probably work out better to fix it myself anyway. That way I have the satisfaction of fixing the car myself, and I will most likely be financially ahead. The left-over money will go into the engine I am in the middle of rebuilding, and just general maintenance.
I just have to convince my father (whom's name the car is insured and registered under) that doing it that way was it better than paying the remaining ($1500) cost of the repairs. I don't understand why he wants to do it that way. He's a pain in the arse like that. It doesn't make sense but that's just him.

My brother has just broken up a WB Statesman to assist with an insurance repair.

Complete shell with front subframe and rails. Good condition and will cost you a case of beer.

It's in western Sydney though and must take the whole thing. Pm if interested.

Thanks guys! I ended up sourcing one locally, for a fairly good price. It comes with everything except the hood ornament., though it is a little bit rough. That being said I would like to try out my hand at restoring some panels anyway. ;)
I'll keep them in mind guys, just in case this deal fall's through (I'll find out on Saturday).

Shame it's a WB, if it was a bit earlier there would be no VIV required.

Just start collecting the bits. Good luck
