XU2308 you have been prooven wrong and you still cant come too terms with the fact that the secret project as every one nows is the 73 LJXU2 not any LH L34 that was branded as the XU2 after the secret project was stopped
Your starting to sound like a broken record
maybe someone just left the gate open and your running around loose and ramped without a bearing of where too look or go
merely stating no evidence what so ever of this 72 your document of evidence are failing you if and only if you could ever find some fraudulent claims of them
your word of mouth means nothing as the proof is right in front of you now and still too NO avail you persist on your myth that has already been solved long ago![]()
Can not see many spelling mistakes now.hehehe

xu2308 it was Brocky harry firth and dave bennit that said not me
the xu2 was going to be a 73 and 74 production car
No, it's what the Journo who interviewed Peter Brock, Harry Firth and Dave Bennett wrote, not necessarily exactly what they said. I told you once before not to trust everything you read in magazines as gospel truth.

So in 73 they were asked to do the last of the XU1 heads and then not long after that they were asked to do the V8 heads. By the end of 73 the LJ body was long overdue for a change. They didn't develop the LH body in a couple of months, planning for it would have started long before the LJ was finished.
The LH SLR5000 was originally going to be called the XU2, thats a fact. If you have a copy of the original LH spare parts manual you will see that nothing refers to SLR5000, it's all XU2. The LJ V8's that were built never had XU2 decals. Harry refered to them as XU2 but they were actually the XU1 V8.
The development work Dave was doing in 73 was clearly for the upcoming L34, the SLR5000 was never intended to be raced for long, it was purely a stop gap till the L34 came along.
You've quoted Brock as saying it was 73, but if you were at Bathurst in 2004 you would have heard Brock telling eveyone the A9X used the 2.60 ratio diff at Bathurst which was wrong. He also told everyone the dayglo VK big Banger that Peter Champion has was the 05 car....we know how that turned out, 05 is and always has been alive and well at bathurst.
Are you dead set for real? Do you believe the Supercar scare happened in 73 or are you just up for a good shit stir? BTW I thought you were banned from the shoutbox.

hell front struts from a vb carried the same part number through to vn tmk
i have read fiv's book and seen the mock up with the xu-2 stickers on the fenders
but it was stated at the time it would not be used as it was a production code for a bedford van or something
it was always going to be the 1972 lj v8 and the lh v8 had a undecided name at that stage
but i get your confusion
and remember drugs are bad mkay
i once had a bad run and lost a year....turns out baking powder is not a substitute for cocaine :(

there were 4-XA GTHO Phase 4's Built, and they are all 1972 models, yes Richo thats right 1972, 3 of them were the race cars (Red in Colour) and the first road production car was Green, and all built in early 1972.
Get it Rtcho it was 1972, and the Phase 4's sparring partner was the 1972 LJ XU-1 V8, now i have explained it to you Richo for the 50 time, you might get it now, we can hope.
