There is no way in hell a standard HQ spring, will ever look like going into a LJ torana,I,ve got an assortment of 6 and 8 hq stock springs here right now, they are way to looong to fit,its hard enough to get the peices of shit back into a HQ.

PLENTY of bullshit here,But it is bringing out some real facts aswell,so i guess this ain,t to bad.Been a bit boring lately.

I wonder if anyone in this thread knows how the pressure on end gas in a combustion chamber effects detonation threshold for a particular combination......

Hehehehe

Cheers.

I could go on and on but i geuse you guys are all hell bent on abusing every one on the forum and are stuck behind that 6 foot fence and just cant see over it

Richox1

I can't speak on behalf of other members but I certainly am not hell bent on abusing everyone on this forum.
I enjoy helping other people if I can and find the great majority of members to be polite, friendly and respectful, however you sir lack respect for the members of this forum (some of whom I might add, have been here a hell of a lot longer than you and myself for that fact) and the wealth of knowledge that they have gathered. Respect is earned and so far you have failed dismally. Learning some people skills will take you a long way in life.

BTW, I noticed below your avatar that you say you have an LJ XU1. Personally I don't care if you have a Fiat Bambino, however a lot of the members here love to see pics of Torana's so post up some pics of your XU1 or everyone willl start thinking it's ficticious.

Im sure this bloke is just here for a shitstir.

Certainly he is not here to demonstrate his literacy... I have struggled to comprehend his messages - either extremely fat fingers, or no regard in the slightest for the English language - oh, think of the children :)

I digress, perhaps the OP need not only look (as suggested to him by others in this thread) at the voluminous postings here on the subject so that he can better appreciate the position being taken by folks, but also come to recognise the very often emotional and perhaps subjective outlook held by some towards those cars (citing the seemingly repetitive 150 or more debate as but an example). The OP might also wish to look at a number of texts available, starting with the most recent publication of Torana Tough, through Golden Miles, Holden vs Ford and Wide Open Road to assist his knowledge base. All of these sources comprehensively and reliably depict that a very special car was indeed not only in the wings but well under way, however it unfortunately met its demise because of corporate expedience combined with with a dose of cowardice, social conscience or perhaps parts of both - who is to say?

Cheers, TB

GMH Head office only have the Warranty Records that have the P.S.N Number (The Little Tag)
The P.S.N does not tell the Chassis Number on the Car, only the Car tells you that, but they do have most Engines listed on there
WARRANTY RECORDS at Head Office in Port Melbourne.

XU2 the PSN records are acturly production date records not warrenty records line of production and yes chassie number are not listed
The Barneys Shirt Pink/Lillac LJ XU-1 whaould no dought be a GTR it it does not bear the xu1 JP unless a 308 was acturly transplanted on the production line and the the installation exsepted BY GMH as a XU1 option Like the JP and so forth.
I have no doute from that suposded roof top picture that was in earlyer posts
Peter Brock Race XU1 Prototype

whith the gum trees in the background that the roof top didnt exist
The front bracks and stubs as an upgrade was a HT and springs no doute the picture verifies it like a 250mm cerb hight

In 1995 i bought a set of springs from Pedders Suspension, and they were for a V8 LJ, they are abit higher than normal LJ Torana front springs, i still have them in the shed.

Well Barneys Shirt is a ongoing research, its a very special car indeed, and i would never ever rule it out to been the Current Model XU-1 with the modified V8 engine been tested at lang lang in the Letter that GMH put out when the V8 LJ Program got canned.
