XU2 the PSN records are acturly production date records not warrenty records line of production and yes chassie number are not listed

Richo, if you have a look at the top of each page of the PSN records you will see it clearly states 'SERVICE WARRANTY REPORTING' and under that it says 'VEHICLE MASTER LISTING'.

The way it worked was when a new vehicle came back to the Dealer for the first service the dealer was supposed to fill out a form with the PSN and engine number and send the form to GMH. Up until that was done GMH had no records of what engine number belonged to which PSN.

Sometimes the Dealers must have forgotten to do this or the car never came back for the first service, hence why some PSN's don't have an engine number recorded.

Richard , a lot of the '000M' code cars had no engine no recorded as being an internal order melbourne car which went to styling or engineering often did not make it in for service which is how the details were recorded .

When the 'Barneys Shirt car' (my car ) was sold in july of '74 it had a JP engine , and it is a very early Number. There were 2 '000M ' code XU1's built on day one production 19/1/72 194040 is the Baroda silver car that was used in the press tests with SA rego and 194044 is mine and it is definately an XU1.

Richard , the pic of the car was taken on the styling courtyard which is on the roof of the Styling and Engineering building at Fishermans Bend. There have been many pics taken up there over the years and many from the older era have no visible gumtrees in the background and smaller shrubbery around the courtyard.

The front brakes are listed as a new assembly while the callipers are carry over parts , also bear in mind that a different part no. was issued if the heat treating was different while the part looked outwardly the same.

I can't speak on behalf of other members but I certainly am not hell bent on abusing everyone on this forum.
I enjoy helping other people if I can and find the great majority of members to be polite, friendly and respectful, however you sir lack respect for the members of this forum (some of whom I might add, have been here a hell of a lot longer than you and myself for that fact) and the wealth of knowledge that they have gathered. Respect is earned and so far you have failed dismally. Learning some people skills will take you a long way in life.

BTW, I noticed below your avatar that you say you have an LJ XU1. Personally I don't care if you have a Fiat Bambino, however a lot of the members here love to see pics of Torana's so post up some pics of your XU1 or everyone willl start thinking it's ficticious.

Well mye mate caries on about the italian made bambeano to im not much for the urepiane cars im aussie born and bred but i do have 1 of the 150 XU1s and has a factury paint code of Willow so i would say this car for example is very unexspectantly 1 of a very few probly on of the least made the coulor of them all exept the custem paint codes like Barnys shirt that is.

Well Richo, what is it truth or lies?

The following is a copy of the post you made in the other thread that has now been locked. I like the bit where you state you don't own this car. So whose car is it???

Quote: Ok well the color Sagman is willow the standed HQ LH LJ willow solid color it is not a vairent of willow it bears the 5 digets as u say, most likly there posably maybe others if and only if they have savived the holacost of crushing machiens and scrap merchants?
If any one has one you now i whould like to see some pics of it.
I dont own this car but its highly likely that there was very few or if any more ever made and suvived as the colour is very underzirable color dont you think.
The previous owner menchand there was maby only 4 ever this color.
