those willow tags have been reportd to RMS an arm of the RTA...those tags were sold without a car and RMS saw the advert and any car bearing those tags wont get rego in NSW...do your tags match your inner guard number??? you need to put lots of pic up mate as i rekocn iam seeing a rebirth attempt...i report all tags sold on ebay to RMS ..they even come to this site now and have taken all records from our dead tag list...

The owner/seller of those willow XU1 tags is reported to have said it was his mates car and he smashed it, so he bought it off his mate but his mate kept the engine & gearbox. He removed the tags, cut the chassis number from the body and the car sat in his sisters' paddock for the next 27 years (if i recall correctly).

Richo's Torana doesn't look smashed to me so can't be the same car. Richo wouldn't lie to us would he?
Then again Richo did say he found his in a paddock. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I was only stating a fact. Lots of people on this forum and anyone, anywhere in the world for that matter could have seen those ID tags for sale on ebay and written down all the details, so keep your shirt on.
Oh, I see now, you mean the bit about your car not being smashed etc etc. Just having a bit of a stir, that's why I put the emoticon at the end of the sentence. I must admit that I like to have a light hearted stir occasionally.

Richo, can you blame people for thinking what they are thinking? You really need to take a step back and look at it from the "wolf packs" perspective. You want everyone to believe your claims about your special XU1 and yet you refuse to post the ID details for your car. As you would be aware there was a set of Willow 73 XU1 (1 of 150 bathurst Brisbane built) tags sold on ebay recently then not long after you pop up claiming to have exactly the same type of car in the same rare colour.

What do you expect everyone to think? Yeah mate that's fantastic, you are so lucky, we are so envious and we unequivocally believe every word you say even though we don't know you or anything about you.

Most people on this forum are adverse to people re birthing cars, especially the rare and special ones.
If you want the so called "wolf pack" to get off your back and have people start believing you then post up all the ID tag info and plenty of pics to prove that they match with the body shell. If your car is legit and the restoration is all above board then I see no good reason why you have anything to hide. Failing that you will continue to be thought of as dodgy and doing something highly illegal.

I have no option now but confess that I need your Vin details, chassis number and engine number so I can spend a small fortune to make an exact replica of your XU1 and then when the police catch up with me after I try to register it I can go to jail and get my arse reamed every day and maybe twice on Sunday, R.O.F.L.M.A.O.

I am going to start work on it again this week depending what i feel like i might let you guys see just a peek of something
Maybe just one original mold rivet for the doer or the Qourter panel rivet maybe just the XU1 on the mod plate as eng description

If you don't want to post the info for all to see then PM Bazza, he's the Guru on the LC/LJ numbers and verification and he is extremely trustworthy. Supply him with whatever info and pics that he asks for and then he can let us know if your tags and bodyshell check out OK. I'm happy with that and I'm sure everyone else will be too.

It would be great to know that another genuine example of a 73 XU1 is being saved.

If you want to prove it you need to show evidence... so maybe you should contact some knowledgable people privately and get real proof you can show to back your claims
Till then this thread is rubbish... and will end up in the bin just like it
