Hi All
When i pull the light switch on the guages start to read high. All other times they seem to read fine.
Any suggestions ???

Mine does that slightly too, I've never found anything wrong with it and the readings seem to be reliable enough either way, I always assumed that it was something to do with the voltage regulator

Could be the reg but more likely either the 0V connection to the cluster is bad or you don't have a 0V strap from the battery to the body or it is not connected well eg through paint. Have a look at the 0V terminal of the battery - does it just have the one big cable to the starter? It should have a smaller one to the body too, and the connection to the body should be through a decent connection.

The 5V regulator rarely gives out 5V, it always fluctuates due to the nature of the design. An aftermarket reg is the only way you will get a consistant output.

the cluster was recond and works fine all the time except for when i put the lights on. earth strap from the battery is good !!.
