can someone identify this Holley carb

was going to buy a new carb for my 355 motor but before I do want to know if this will be any good.

can anyone identify what size it is and would I be better to get it rebuilt or just buy a new one and sell this on

4160 series 600 vac sec.

Depends on how much 355 you have, but i would say to small for all bar the mildest.

Would work for starters if you just wanted something to get it going, rebuild kit from Summit is about $35, selling it on you probably wont get more than $50 for it.

That carb is a spreadbore, making it a 4165 series, probably 600-650 cfm, definately vac. sec.

Great for stopping the car rolling away when you have an ineffective handbrake.

4165 series Holleys were mechanical secondries only, that one is vac sec, no sec metering block plus vac chamber on side, it will be an early model 650 vac sec. the 4165 models came in 650 and the rare 800cfm

i wouldn't put anything less then a 750dp on a 355 stroker

Your right ! It is technically a 4175 series.
